IAIN ARCHER
Probably best known for songs co-written in cold, damp Glasgow rehearsal rooms that turned out to be anthems, Iain Archer has also been steadily building his own thing. Now with four solo albums and a beautiful fifth record due imminently, he has been steadily drawing the right kind of attention.
2006's 'Magnetic North' won hearts in the press and a 'Gray's Anatomy' moment. In 2005 Iain won an Ivor Novello award for his part to play in co-writing tracks on Snow Patrol's breakthrough album, Final Straw including 'Run'. His own understated, gritty songwriting and acoustic picking is carving out its own corner. |
