| First Music Contact is the only independent information and advice organisation for grass roots and emerging artists and the independent music sector in Ireland, FMC is credited with raising the profile of the popular (rock, alternative, electronic and singer songwriters) music sector and the industry at local, national and international level and have recently launched an online music room for showcasing Irish acts called Breaking Tunes (www.firstmusiccontact.com). FMC also co-runs the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival (www.hwch.net). Ireland’s only festival for unsigned acts. Strategic partners include The Arts Council, The IRMA Trust, international music development organisations, and many record and publishing companies, both national and international.
